Why doesn't MAT'S CLINIC accept insurance?

At MAT’S Clinic, we do not accept insurance because we believe in a value-based treatment model where individuals are more likely to value their recovery when they invest in it directly. Providing excellent care in recovery requires substantial resources, far beyond what Medicaid and government insurance reimburse. The costs of maintaining a highly qualified staff and physicians are significant, and the high no-show rate for appointments further complicates the ability to offer quality care under standard insurance models. By prioritizing value and direct investment in treatment, we aim to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients by providing fast, convenient, and quality care.

Am I trading one addiction for another?

The myth that Suboxone and Sublocade are simply trading one addiction for another is rooted in a misunderstanding of how these medications work. Unlike full opioid agonists, Suboxone and Sublocade contain buprenorphine, a partial agonist that stabilizes brain chemistry without producing the euphoric “high” associated with opioid misuse. These medications are carefully managed under medical supervision to reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms, allowing individuals to focus on their recovery. The goal is not to create a new addiction but to manage existing dependence in a controlled, safer way, supporting long-term sobriety.

Will I be stuck on Suboxone or Sublocade forever?

No, you will not be stuck on Suboxone or Sublocade forever once you are stabilized and ready to wean off. These medications are tools to help you stabilize your recovery by managing cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Once you’re stable and have made progress in your recovery, you can work with your healthcare provider to gradually taper off the medication. The process is individualized and done at your own pace to ensure it’s safe and effective. Many people successfully wean off Suboxone or Sublocade when they’re ready, moving forward in their recovery journey without long-term dependence on these medications.

They are super nice! Not judgmental at all. They explained everything thoroughly. I would highly recommend anyone who needs help to go this clinic!

I have been to a few Suboxone clinics and ALL of them just want to give a medication and forget about you. The providers at MAT'S Clinic actually CARE about you as a person and give you the tools to not only stay sober, but to also help you thrive in life! I can't say enough good things about the staff at MAT'S Clinic!
