How Do I Get Addiction Treatment in Baton Rouge Today?

Here’s the thing about getting help in Louisiana — most people wait way too long because they think addiction treatment in Baton Rouge means weeks of paperwork, time off work, and sitting in a waiting room where someone might recognize them.

That’s not how we do it.

MAT’S Clinic gets Baton Rouge residents in front of a provider the same day they reach out. You fill out a short form, talk to our staff, and connect with a licensed provider over a secure video call — from your car, your house, wherever you’ve got five minutes of privacy. No waiting rooms. No judgment. Just treatment that actually fits your life.

Why Baton Rouge Families Choose MAT'S Clinic

Louisiana families don’t need corporate healthcare. They need providers who understand what life actually looks like down here — tight budgets, long work weeks, small communities where everybody knows everybody, and a whole lot of shame keeping people from asking for help.

MAT’S Clinic was built for exactly that. Todd Bossier founded this clinic in memory of his brother Matthew, who lost his life to an opioid overdose on November 22nd, 2008. Matthew was 27 years old. That’s not a tagline. That’s why we show up every single day.

Over 180 five-star Google reviews. More than 500 lives transformed. Same-day appointments, Monday through Friday, no exceptions.

We’re not here to make money off your struggle. We’re here because we’ve seen what happens when people can’t get help fast enough.

What Addiction Treatment Services Are Available in Baton Rouge?

We treat the conditions that wreck Louisiana families — opioid addiction, alcohol dependence, kratom addiction, and more. Every service is available via telehealth so you never have to set foot in a clinic if you don’t want to. Medications run through your insurance. Most plans cover a significant portion — sometimes all of it. See our pricing page for full details.

K.K. MAT'S CLINIC

This is by far the best clinic I’ve used for MAT services, the doctors truly care about their patients and seem like they’re there to actually help you and accommodate your needs, instead of it just being all for the money. They listen and give you the best advice possible and always have the best attitude! I absolutely love my doctor, the best one I’ve had yet!

Your Questions About Addiction Treatment in Baton Rouge, Answered

We are here to help you with your questions!

Can I get same-day addiction treatment in Baton Rouge?

Yes. Same-day appointments are guaranteed Monday through Friday during normal office hours. If we can’t get you in the same day, you’ll be seen within 24–48 hours. When you’re ready, we move fast. Call (225) 468-6287.

Is telehealth addiction treatment available in Baton Rouge?

Yes. Full addiction treatment from the privacy of your own home, over a secure HIPAA-compliant video call. No waiting rooms, no time off work, no one needs to know. We do require periodic oral swab samples for telehealth patients — but we keep it simple.

What medications do you use to treat addiction?

For opioid addiction: Suboxone, Zubsolv, Sublocade, Brixadi, Subutex. For alcohol addiction: Vivitrol, naltrexone, Antabuse, Acamprosate. We also offer GLP-1 medications for weight loss and testosterone replacement therapy. See our pricing page for full details.

Do you accept insurance?

We don’t accept insurance for office visits — reimbursement rates don’t allow us to maintain the quality of care we demand. Office visits are private pay. Medications run through your insurance, and most plans cover a large portion or all of the cost.

Can I talk to someone before booking?

Yes. Free consultation, no pressure, no commitment. Ask us anything. We’d rather answer your questions now than have you sit with them alone.

Is my information kept private?

Always. HIPAA-compliant platform, confidential care, nothing shared without your consent. Privacy isn’t a feature here — it’s the baseline.

What is MAT and does it actually work?

Medication-assisted treatment uses FDA-approved medications to stabilize brain chemistry, eliminate withdrawal symptoms, and cut cravings — so you can actually focus on your life instead of surviving each day. The science is clear. People who believe Suboxone is just trading one addiction for another don’t understand how addiction works at a neurological level. We do.

Do I need a referral to start addiction treatment in Baton Rouge?

No referral needed. Call us directly at (225) 468-6287 or fill out our online form and we’ll get you in — often the same day. You don’t need a doctor’s note, a prior authorization, or anyone’s permission to get help.

The Science of Addiction Treatment Supported with facts

People who believe Suboxone or Sublocade is trading one addiction for another DOESN’T understand the science of addiction.

In Loving Memory ofMatthew Bossier (MAT)

Matthew Bossier is the inspiration behind MAT’S Clinic. Matthew passed away from an opioid overdose on November 22nd, 2008. He was 27 years old.

Like many of you, Matthew came from a loving family who desperately tried to help him on his journey.

Whether we realize it or not, we are all living inside of our own story. People who suffer from addiction get physically and emotionally stuck playing the victim of their life story. Let us help you start a new life. Let us help you rewrite your own story and get the life you deserve.

— Todd Bossier, Nurse Practitioner and CEO of MAT’S Clinic
